The 'miserable' look that I was born with was even worse when I opened these strings up. The trebles are of the 'rectified nylon' type: they look semi-translucent and to me, feel like when you drag a spoon between your teeth or hear/feel fingernails being dragged across a blackboard in school (do they have blackboards these days? I suppose the politically-correct mob have stopped us calling [them] 'blackboards' . . ?!?).
It's an entirely personal thing but this type of treble I DOOO not like!! I suppose I could save a fortune on nail-polishers, etc 'cos there's not a lot of point in polishing your claws with this type of treble . . . (in my opinion).
I give 5* for the basses and decline to comment on the trebles for fear of upsetting the French.
NONE of of the above is the fault of the supplier, of course (Jingaloba) who are excellent folks to deal with.!!!
