24 Karat gold These Strings are actually 24 karat gold plated for longer lasting, tarnish free playing. Maxima strings were originally made in Germany in small quantities to satisfy the most discriminating players and major artists worldwide. As a result, they have always in short supply and hard to find. They have not been made for some time, but now Optima Strings has started production again.
Signature strings Carlos Santana was introduced to Big Core Strings by his Guitar Technician, Rene Martinez. He has continued to use them and the result is beautifully realized in his new signature set.
